DeKalb County has turned on the 311 assistance number. This is for any non-emergency county service. Residents have used it to request pickup of debris along roads, to report potholes/washouts and more.

Of course, if you see a crime in progress etc. still call 911.

A resident used the 311 number last week to setup a date for the police to install one of their radar speed signs on North Superior this coming week. We will use the data to determine the need for further enforcement efforts.

Additionally, the county Watershed division has offered to arrange for people to come to our next general meeting to talk about water issues, e.g., river clean ups, the water-wise program, rain water conservation, floodplain buyouts, stormwater utilities in general, and USACE detention projects for our watershed. Is there interest in this topic for a future CHCA meeting ?
