More budget cuts on the way for DeKalb School System

Stephanie Stuckey Benfield: "DeKalb County Schools’ Superintendent Crawford Lewis plans to make deeper budget cuts—some that will impact the salaries of administrators in the Central Office and others that will impact programs and services in DeKalb schools. Lewis wants to slash $56 million from the district’s $851 million operating budget, a plan, he says, that would amount to a total of $135 million in reductions from 2008 through 2011." Read more.
