Update 2/11/10: The work has begun. A draft of the plan is attached.

1/22/10: The County reported that within a few days it may begin implementing a project to improve the Desmond/Clairmont intersection. They say the project will help with traffic back-ups and safety both on Desmond and Clairmont and make it safer for pedestrians to cross. The project includes ADA ramps with sidewalk aprons on either side of Desmond at Clairmont and a crosswalk painted across Desmond connecting to the Clairmont sidewalk. The project does not include a new crosswalk across Clairmont or a new street light. Those features are part of the proposal for Emory's plan once they're able to restart the Clairmont Campus parking deck project.
