Update 3/4/10, 3:45 p.m.: Madison has been found. He had been picked up and taken to the county animal shelter.
From a local resident: "our dog Madison got out of our yard around 5 am this morning. She was last seen running down Scott Circle towards Desmond Drive. She is a 13 year old brown and black shepherd mix, about 40 pounds, with a lump on her right cheek. She is not wearing her collar. She is probably scared and confused, as she rarely leaves the house, and I can't explain why she would run away like she did. "
