Mar. 21 ING marathon impact on traffic around Emory

Of possible interest from Emory: Notice to the Emory University Community - This Sunday, March 21st, the annual ING Marathon will be held in Atlanta.  As in past years, part of the marathon course will run through Emory’s campus and on several roads near campus.  On Sunday morning between approximately 8 a.m.  and 11:30 a.m., expect road closures and traffic delays on North Decatur Road from Clairmont Road to Clifton Road, Clifton Road to Fishburne Drive, through campus to Dowman Drive, and west on North Decatur Road through Emory Village to Lullwater Road.  

The race begins at approximately 6 a.m. in Centennial Olympic Park and will finish there around 2 p.m.  Anticipate road closures and traffic delays Sunday in Downtown Atlanta, Midtown, Decatur and Druid Hills.  For more details, visit the ING Marathon website (www.inggeorgiamarathon.com).
