From MANA newsletter: Medlock Elementary Still on List for Consideration of Closure Due to School District Budget Deficits. Some of you may already be aware that as of March 18th, Medlock Elementary School has been put on a list of 21 DeKalb area schools "being considered" for closure by the DeKalb School District attempting to reduce a $115 deficit. 62 were on the initial list considered by the Task Force and four will be selected for final recommendation to the school board next month.
The Task Force will hold a public meeting this week and we hope to have an update at the March 29th community meeting. Please e-mail MANA if you have additional insight or information to share on this topic.
