From the Atlanta Audubon Society: Buy Your Advance Tickets Now for the 2010 Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary Tour Saturday, the 11th of September, 9AM to 3PM Visit Buckhead gardens designed as wildlife habitats and meet Georgia authors, Charles Seabrook and John Yow, at this year’s tour.  Advance tickets are available now through September 1 for $12 each by calling the office at 678-973-2437 and paying by credit card.  Tickets will be mailed or emailed.  Day-of-tour tickets are $15 and will be available at sites #1 (570 Valley Lane) and #5 (3003 Howell Mill Road).  AAS encourages you to purchase your tickets in advance.  Event will be held rain or shine.  For more information about the tour, visit the Web site at www.atlantaaudubon.org to find a tour brochure and map, along with many additional details. From 10AM to noon at the Blue Heron Nature Preserve, award-winning nature writer Charles Seabrook will sign his book Cumberland Island: Strong Women, Wild Horses and discuss his upcoming book about the ecology of the Georgia coast to be published later this year.  Also at the Blue Heron from 1PM to 3PM, John Yow will sign his funny and informative 2009 book The Armchair Birder: Discovering the Secret Lives of Familiar Birds.
