Movie at the Market: Black Gold

Event Date and Time:
07/09/2010 - 6:15pm - 10:15pm

From the Atlanta Audubon Society via local resident Dave Butler: Join us at the Sweet Auburn Curb Market for a screening of Black Gold, the internationally acclaimed documentary that explores the coffee industry – from the farmers’ crops to your cup. The movie screening will be followed by a discussion with the founders of Georgia’s own Cooperative Coffees, distributor of fair trade-sourced coffees to a cooperative network of 23 community-based roasters (including Café Campesino) located throughout the United States. The Curb Market will re-open for this event; a selection of market vendors will offer food for purchase, and beer and wine will be available for donation. Presented by the Atlanta Audubon Society, Café Campesino, Slow Food Atlanta, and the Green City Market.
