From "Carol Hayes" cehayes@bellsouth.net via Civic Association Net, Wed Jul 14, 2010 : Attached is document about the state asking for proposals to begin developing a multi-modal station for commuter rail in downtown Atlanta. Part of the Atlanta Regional Commission's long range plan is to build a second rail line next to the current CSX track from Emory to Tucker to be used as a commuter rail. This track would be a second track through Mason Mill Park, extending along Burnt Fork Creek for it's entire length. I have a lot of files from when this proposal was last active (2003) if anyone would like to read the original proposal.
