Clairmont Heights Civic Association

Members of our CHCA board have reported that at recent meetings of various committees and planning groups at Emory, it was stated that Emory intends to expand the "Garage Majal" on the Clairmont Campus into the tree-save area between Clairmont Road and the existing deck. The reason given was to replace parking for healthcare workers that will be lost when the hospital complex is moved to the east side of Clifton Road. Besides the tree loss from this previously promised protected area, this could force a much larger portion of cut-through traffic INTO our neighborhood. The board hopes to have further discussion with Emory before they proceed with this project.
