Coyote sightings on N Superior

From a resident in the 700 block of N Superior: "I think that people who let their cats go outside should definitely be made aware that cats are a preferred food of the coyotes that are definitely in our neighborhood.  We have seen them while walking our dogs at least twice. Both times it was on N. Superior near the intersection with Woodmoor Ln.  Coyotes can/will also jump a fence and take small dogs.  My niece lives in Colorado and has witnessed this first-hand (twice).

Cars and mailboxes entered on N Superior

From a resident on the 700 block of N Superior, March 29, 2013: "there were at least 5 cars that were entered in the 700 block of N. Superior. I actually found a car ashtray in the street and walked around until I found the right car/owner.  Although I don't know of anything taken from our mailbox, I am convinced that this is not a coincidence. Last night when I walked my dogs there were about 5 or 6 houses in a row with their mailbox doors opened, including ours.  Then it was less consistent but the homeowners may have shut some of them after returning from work.

MANA Neighborhood Watch bulletin March 2013

From the Medlock Area Neighborhood Association: MANA Neighborhood Watch - March 2013.

Neighborhood Watch Meeting  April 24, 2013, 7:00 pm at North Decatur Presbyterian Church.   Major Tracy, who is now in charge of Center precinct (the precinct we live in) will be speaking and answering questions.  Please email us at manawatch@gmail.com with questions prior to the meeting.  Thank you Dawn Forman for setting this meeting up for our neighborhoods!

The Neighborhood Watch Team have been working hard to update the Watch List.  Some of the information on the list is very outdated. Many of you sent us corrections after we sent the E-letter in February.  Please continue to email us with corrections and be patient with us as we go through this transition.

The Medlock/MANA Watch receives watch information from over eight different communities around us.  We are starting to include this information in our e-letters.  These reports are not meant to scare anyone but to keep everyone informed.  Our Neighborhood Watch is only as good as the neighbors who participate.  We need more coordinators for the 61 grids that make up our Medlock Watch.  Please contact us and get involved!  manawatch@gmail.com
