Traffic Control Meeting July 16 Invitation

You are invited to attend the second meeting of the Clairmont Heights Civic Association (CHCA) and Medlock Area Neighborhood Association's (MANA) traffic control planning meeting on July 16th from 7-9 PM at the North Decatur Presbyterian Church. You have been invited as a stakeholder in this process and your input is considered valuable to the quality of the final plan.

The CHCA and MANA Boards with the support of the County Commissioners and DeKalb Transportation Director have begun a planning process to design and implement a traffic control plan with the intention to greatly reduce or eliminate cut-through traffic in our neighborhoods. The impetus for this cooperative work lies in the belief that while the present traffic situation is unacceptable and degrading to quality of life and property values, the amount of commercial, institutional and residential development surrounding our neighborhoods will make the situation even worse.

This is the second meeting where the initial plan will be presented for comment to those in attendance and feedback for further refinement will be taken. Approximately 50 people from the CHCA and MANA areas participated in the first meeting (held May 22) and provided substantial input toward possible solutions.
Please see details of the draft agenda below. If you have any questions please feel free to email me.
