Summer Ultimate Frisbee for high school and middle school kids

From Druid Hills PTA: Ultimate Frisbee is a fun, fast-paced, co-ed sport that relies upon a great spirit of sportsmanship.  If you've thought about playing Ultimate or have played some in the past, this summer is a great time to play and keep your skills sharp or learn more about the game.  All high school age kids are welcome to join the new Northlake Youth Disc Club. The Northlake Youth Disc Club (NLYDC) will be hosting Atlanta’s first  High School and Middle School ultimate league.  A great and relatively cheap and easy to stay sharp and have fun this summer.

When:  June  7th to July 26th, Thursday evenings from 5:45 to 8:45

Where:  4670 Granite Dr. Tucker GA.

Who: There will be six HS teams of 14 players each. There will be 3 middle school teams of 14 players each. The middle school teams will be for rising 6, 7, & 8th graders. The HS teams will be for rising 9, 10, 11, & 12th graders. Play will be coed. Teams will be balanced by player ability.  There will be three fields so each team will play two games per night.

So how do you join? 

  • Download the league application (click here) and waiver form (click here) and fill them out.
  • Write a check for $30.00 to Northlake Youth Disc Club.
  • Mail the application, waiver, and check to:

Also, the Druid Hills team, the Disc Devils, is building its Ultimate team and welcomes all who are interested in playing to join the Ultimate email list for updates on practices and pick-up games.
