From Beth Nathan via the Civic Association Network listserv: "The Parks Bond Advisory Committee is meeting at Mason Mill Park this month.  This group hears reports on and asks questions about use of the 2001 & 2006 parks bond funds for park land acquisition and development, presented by the Natural Resources Management Office (headed by Susan Hood). We typically take a look at some bond-funded project that has just completed. Parks/Rec staff also usually gives us an FYI report on what's high priority in existing parks. These are public meetings (2nd Wednesdays, 5:30 pm, even-numbered months only). Please do attend if you're interested. Details below.  Beth Nathan, appointed Commission District 2 representative

DeKalb Parks Bond Advisory Committee and Initiative for a Green DeKalb Advisory Council Combined Meeting

The next scheduled meeting is June 13, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at Mason Mill Park, 1400 McConnell Drive, Decatur, GA 30033 we will tour the new trails after a brief meeting.

Upon entering the park drive past the tennis center and wait in the parking lot where we will gather which is also close to the start of the trail.

If it rains we will meet at the Mason Mill Recreation Center located 1340-B McConnell Drive near the playgrounds.
