A neighbor on North Valley Drive reported seeing a coyote Wednesday morning carrying an expired cat in its mouth.  Locals believe the cat was homeless but well known on the street.  Owners or patrons of wandering cats or small dogs may want to take precautions.  Coyotes mostly feed on rodents but small pets can be at risk.  Pet owners generally are also advised to remove any food from exterior areas that might attract their notice.
