DeKalb County Chief Executive Officer Burrell Ellis announces the Office of Economic Development and the Development Authority of DeKalb County will host a Small Business Summit on Thursday, Aug. 16, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Agnes Scott College, Letitia Pate Evans Dining Hall, 141 E. College Ave., Decatur, GA 30030. This year's theme is Innovative Strategies for Business Growth.
The 2012 DeKalb County Small Business Summit is a part of the county's ongoing effort to promote the growth and development of small businesses in DeKalb County by providing information to help businesses gain access to capital, identify public and private resources, and network with other companies.
Small business owners attending the summit will hear from professionals on topics, including "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly of Entrepreneurship," "Retooling for Small Medium Enterprises," and "Innovative and Emerging Business Strategies."
The summit is open to the public and registration is required. The registration fee for the summit is $25 through Aug. 6; $40 beginning Aug. 7.
