From Good Growth DeKalb: At the big intersection at Suburban Plaza. Join us at the corner for our third summer rally! Good Growth DeKalb met last month with Selig Enterprises, to whom we presented our 3,056 petition signatures opposing Walmart at Suburban Plaza. Selig refused any discussion of Walmart - the big elephant in the room - but this does not make community opposition go away. Let's keep up the heat - bring a sign and wear a yellow t-shirt! We'll also have some extras on hand. State Reps. Rahn Mayo and Karla Drenner, along with DeKalb Commissioner Kathie Gannon and her opponent Edmond Richardson, all came to the rally, but Rahn Mayo was the only one early enough to avoid the torrential downpour and get out of his car. He spoke at our press conference in the driving rain. We're hoping for better weather this time, but will rally rain or shine. Hope to see you! www.goodgrowthdekalb.org.
