From nature preserve president Chris Beck: "This morning (8/28), a rabid raccoon was spotted in several locations around the Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve. Animal control was called but they were unable to locate the raccoon. If you choose to use the Preserve over the next few days, please do so with extreme caution. If you see the raccoon, please call 911 and request that the police respond to a rabid raccoon. If the raccoon is not found, it will die in a few days and we will remove the rabies alert by this weekend.
