 Save the Date

September 30, 2012

Medlock is not just an animal friendly neighborhood. It is an animal LOVING neighborhood. Neighbors have dogs, cats, birds, reptiles - you name it.People care for their animals and for those of their neighbors. St Francis of Assisi also loved animals. Many people of all faiths - and no faith -  celebrate his birthday with a blessing of the animals.  It is wonderful to just be with the animals and in the company of others who do.

September 30th,North Decatur Presbyterian Church
North Decatur Presbyterian Church  will host  its first St. Francis Day celebration. The service that day will be held outside that day, on the front patio of the church. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and bring your pet!  After worship, the clergy will be offering blessings to each pet. There will be a tour of the  church grounds including the garden in back.

Animal adoption services will be there if you are looking for a new "significant other." There will also be information on the many ways you can help homeless and hungry animals (as St Francis did). There will also be a box where you can donate new or gently used leashes, collars, blankets.  Pet food and pet meds will also be collected and all collections will be distributed to rescue groups and the Dekalb Animal Shelter.

Church school for all ages begins at 9:30. Worship at 11am. Nursery care is available all morning. See
www.ndpc.org for
more information.
