From Emory: Friday DHHS homecoming; Saturday Winship run.

On Friday, Oct. 12, from 2:30 to 3:10 pm., Druid Hills High School’s Homecoming Parade route will circle from the front of the school on Haygood Drive to Ridgewood Drive, Uppergate Drive, Clifton Road and back to the school via Haygood. The parade includes 20 vehicles, four floats, a marching band and at least 300 walkers.

On Saturday, Oct. 13, beginning at 8:30 a.m., Emory's Winship Cancer Institute will hold its second annual ‘Winship Win the Fight 5K.' More than 1,500 runners and walkers are expected to participate. The race will start and finish at McDonough Field. Affected streets along the 5K route include: Asbury Circle, Dickey Drive, Eagle Row, Oxford Road, N. Decatur Road, Haygood Drive, Fishburne Drive and the Dowman Drive main gate entrance.
