Traffic alert: pipeline replacement at Haygood, N Decatur, Clairmont

From Emory: Between Oct. 17 (today) and Nov. 6, Atlanta Gas Light will continue its natural gas pipeline replacement project – a non-Emory project that will produce lane closures and affect traffic on Haygood Dr., North Decatur Rd. and Clairmont Rd.   Most of the replacement work will occur in the evening and overnight with the exception of Saturday work on North Decatur Rd.  The construction schedule is as follows:

Sundays -Thursdays:  

Haygood Dr. will be closed between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Construction traffic will detour to Ridgewood Dr. 

 

Fridays and Saturdays: 

Haygood Dr. will reopen.

 

Saturdays:  

Construction on North Decatur, in the westbound lane, between Clairmont Rd. and Clairmont Circle, will reduce to one lane between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

 

Work requiring lane closures will follow DeKalb County traffic control guidelines with signage, cones and flaggers to assist traffic flow. Cliff shuttle routes will not be impacted by this project.
