A long-sought renovation of Druid Hills High School's historic
building and the addition of science and general classroom spaces
will use $22.5 million of the DeKalb County's Special Purpose Local Option Sales (SPLOST) tax money. Every room will be touched and the buildings will be rewired and brought up to code. Sprinklers will be installed and elevators put in so every student can physically reach every classroom.
