A few residents have recommended that we allow posting of service ads or classifieds for residents on the website and in the eNewsletter. Examples of services that might be offered included yard work, house-sitting, baby-sitting, and piano lessons. At this point we are not offering ads for businesses. We will review the ads for appropriateness and check that an advertiser's address is within our boundaries. Beyond that, we cannot accept any liabilities for inaccuracies there may be in the ads or dissatisfaction a client may have with the services rendered. Logged in users, however, will be able to add comments below the ad. We have created a mockup of an ad here.

To create your own, first login or register (Register by clicking the Create New Account link on the bottom left of the home page and filling in a user name and valid email address. A password will be emailed to you once the email has been validated.)

Then, once you've logged in, click on "Add Content" in the left side panel then select "Service Ad" and fill in the blanks. Fields include Title (of the ad, e.g., Yard Work), Services offered (a description, e.g., leaf raking, mulching, ivy pulling, etc), Name (required), Contact (required, e.g., phone, email), Address (required), Rates, Hours, References, and More info.

Then click "Preview" at the bottom to look it over before posting and/or click Save to post it. The ad will appear on the front page and in the Community Classifieds section and will be included in the next eNewsletter.
