From the Medlock Area Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Watch: Report on the recent meeting. At the meeting we discussed the fact that Eddie Moore seems to be preying on our community again. Eddie may approach you to do yard work, clean your gutters etc. He is very intimidating and has done work that was not asked for and then demands money. He has also been seen near sites of several crimes, one being two air conditioner units stolen from vacant homes. Please call 911 if you see his Dark Blue Dodge Ram pickup truck license number BUG 1683. He usually has lawn mowers visible in the back. One of our neighbors contacted Dekalb County about Solicitors. Anyone going door to door collecting money must have a Dekalb County "Solicitation Permit." with photo, printed on white paper. The police department conducts a background check on each individual. At the meeting, there was a discussion about voluntary patrolling and/or pay patrolling. Several volunteers are looking into the cost and details about hiring off duty officers to patrol. We will have more info about this soon....
